Gabe and Andrea, thank you! We got the package yesterday. I haven't had a chance to install the RAM yet, but WOO! Will likes the clapper and the kazoo was a hit, once he figured out how to use it! :) Tom loves the Canadian guy. *grin* *HUGS* THANKS! Love you!
trillsie, we also got our package from you guys today. I'm looking forward to reading/watching. I am mostly wondering what Will is going to think of this stuff in 10 or so years. *grin*
Had a lovely-as-always visit with Rick and Kathy last night. Will had a lot of fun with Crazy Uncle Rick, too. *grin*
I did the grocery shopping yesterday, and picked up some bonus toys for Will that will be a huge hit if he can manage to use them properly. We got the laundry cleaned, but it didn't go into the dryer till this morning. :P Tom did the turtle tank while I was shopping and Will was napping. Today, the cat boxes have already been cleaned, lawn-mowing is looking to be called on account of the RAINRAINRAIN, and that just leaves taking out the trash tonight for the remainder of the usual chores. Also, a run to the store must be made because I forgot to get batteries, which we are out of. Oh, Tom also finished putting up the shelf in the kitchen yesterday, and we did some toy weeding. Today, I'd like to do some more toy weeding, and we need to finish straightening up the kitchen. Beyond that, Tom wants to hook up his car so he can plug in his MP3 player, and, of course, I'd like to get my new RAM installed. We'll see how it goes, as we both seriously need to take it easy today. (I am in a hellalotta pain, of course, after Friday (and Saturday's shopping) and all this humidity. Also, my tongue is irritated from the dental work. Grr. Didn't call about that yesterday as I remembered they weren't going to be there (they'd mentioned a wedding), so I'll call on Monday.) Oh, yeah, and I've got some bills to pay at some point. Woo. :P
This week, I'm hoping to get at least one thinky post in; there's one that's been waiting for quite some time now. But first, Sunday at home. :) |

| Couch! |
[Aug. 19th, 2007|05:52 pm] |
OMG! We just bought this couch (except it's actually sage and not that brown color)! My mom was actually looking at it (in a flyer) for the kids'/guest room at her place. She asked us what we thought, and we were so intrigued we decided to stop at the store and check it out, figuring at the least we'd be able to tell her if it would work for her. We decided it would (and called to tell her so), and totally fell in love with it ourselves. Then the guy offered us $20 off each (of the already staggeringly low sale price of $499) if we bought them together, so we summoned Mom, she came, and now we are both the proud owners of soon-to-be-delivered-and-set-up futons-on-steroids. (She even got the sage too. So when ours wears out, we'll trade her for hers. ;P) Our current couch is a sleeper and we've been not happy with it for quite some time. Still, it's only a few years old and in good condition, so I'm hoping we'll be able to make back at least half of what we just spent. The new couch is quite a bit longer than our old one, but we've been unable to really use side tables anyway thanks to the monkey, so we'll be able to cram it in. (And, after all, we're planning on moving in a few years anyway.)
I'm a bit shocked, but that couch is MADE of awesome, man; it was just too good to pass up. :) |
